Dresden Plate Patchwork with Sallieann Harrison
Appliqué • Educational, G, 05-Mar-2021
This delightful quilt is made up of dresden plate patchwork plus some stunning borders.
Sallieann takes us through the steps to make the 12 petals with the speedy help of the sewing machine. Her method means that the tips of the plates are already turned and therefore ready for the applique step. She also shows us how to make the centre sunny circle. There is a great tip on how to get this accurate. Finally, she shows her current favourite applique stitch on her sewing machine.
Sallieann also tells about her quilting inspiration which was the backing fabric!
The Liberty Needlecase pattern is available from Sallieann’s website as an instant download. You can find more information here.
