Textile Workshop with Hilary Beattie
Classes with Hilary Beattie • Educational, G, 01-Nov-2014
Messy play for adults is one of the ways that Hilary describes her workshop. She was kind enough to allow us to interrupt her day and we get to see the work achieved by a number of her students.
Hilary was showing how to use screen printing in a simple way which can then be used as the basis for textile art. She likes to use water based products to make life easier and shares with us the secret of being able to keep them viable for a long time.
Hilary also talks about thermofax screens and her love of square screens to create a unique piece of textile art, ready for more textile stitching.
This was part of a one day a month series of textile workshops, that Hilary was running at The Bramble Patch quilt shop, which is located in Weedon, Northants.
