Cherry Blossom Confetti Applique Workshop with Kate Findlay
Classes with Kate Findlay • Educational, G, 16-Apr-2021
Kate guides you through the steps to create this lovely small picture using confetti applique. She shows how to create the background, and give a little bit of thought to the horizon. Then she adds the tree and branches which are both fused. Finally, Kate sprinkles confetti to create the blossom.
A small amount of free motion machine quilting is used to create texture, as well as holding the confetti into place. Kate also suggests thinking about the colours of the thread you use.
The cherry blossom kit is available in the shop. Visit our website for Cherry Blossom Applique kit.
There is also an apple blossom version available. Visit our website for Apple Blossom Applique kit.
We were very excited that Kate joined us in May 2021 at a retreat entitled Wild Gardens, for more information click here.
