Structures Exhibition with Kate Findlay - Part 4
Classes with Kate Findlay • Educational, G, 01-May-2016
Kate Findlay shows us round the final section of quilts that were on show at Lady Sew & Sew in Henley on Thames. Their warehouse has a section of space that is often used for showcasing exhibtions, so always worth keeping an eye on what’s happening there. Go to Lady Sew & Sew for more information.
In this section we learn more about Kate’s own entry into the exhibition as well as seeing a wonderful corset with matching wallhanging that is so beautiful, it could have been made for a film set.
We also get to see more about Thermofax printing, which the textile girls really seem to like to use.
If you want to see the other sections of this exhibitions – click here for part 1.
In the background you get glimpses of the Hadron Collider quilts, which were made by Kate, and you can enjoy a whole video solely on these by clicking here.
More information about Contemporary Quilt can be found on their website: www.contemporaryquilt.org.uk.
