Sallieann takes us through the steps to make the 12 petals with the speedy help of the sewing machine. Her method means that the tips of the plates are already turned and therefore ready for the applique step. She also shows us how to make the centre sunny circle. There is a great tip on how to get this accurate. Finally, she shows her current favourite applique stitch on her sewing machine.
Sallieann also tells about her quilting inspiration which was the backing fabric!
