Graded Dahlia Shadow Applique with the Stitch Witch
Classes with The Stitch Witch • Educational, G, 01-Feb-2015
Shadow quilting is a simple technique for holding small pieces of fabric into place and in this lovely Dahlia pattern Lynette has combined with this great use of graded/shaded fabrics.
She shows you how to but out all the pieces, position them accurately on the background and then hold them in place with simple running stitch, using her new favourite thread – cotton perle.
As Lynette says, to create this all you need to be able to do is trace, cut out, iron into place and then do a simple running stitch – simple!!!
Enjoy.
