Liberty Emporium Chain Quilt with Valerie Nesbitt
Classes with Valerie Nesbitt • Educational, G, 25-Jun-2021
For those who don’t like rotary cutting, then the use of pre-cuts is great. It also gives you the chance to perhaps use a selection of fabrics that you might not otherwise buy, and leaves you with virtually no waste.
This quilt was designed to use 5″ squares cut from a 10″ layer cake. This gave enough fabric over to be used in the scrappy border.
At the end of the film Valerie shows you two other variations of the same pattern. This time she used a co-ordinated palette and smaller squares, which gave a completely different look. If you would like to give this a try- Valerie cut 4″ squares with 2″ strips.
