Snowball Patchwork Block
This versatile block is great for beginners. It works well on its own as well as with a variety of others. The 9-patch block is a common favourite as it also works well with a wide variety of fabric options and colourways, including scrap.
Stitch ‘n Flip patchwork technique
The stitch-and-flip method of applying triangles is also a tried and trusted technique. It can be used in a variety of blocks. The Ultimate Seam Guide is a useful tool if you are working with this technique on a large quilt. It saves time and provides accuracy.
Valerie has also used this technique for another couple of quilts, that you might like to enjoy here: Star Snowball and Scrap 9 Patch.
