Strip Roll Bargello Cushion with Valerie Nesbitt
Classes with Valerie Nesbitt • Educational, G, 01-Jan-2021
The Bargello pattern with its mesmerizing optical illusion of graceful movement, waves and curves, has been a firm favourite over the years. Now you can create these delightful quilts from pre-cut jelly rolls.
Karin has put together a collection of different projects, using different colours and strip numbers. The cushion uses just 8 strips for the pattern section. Provided you can sew a straight seam, then all the patterns are achievable.
Valerie talks you through the colour sequence to think about, prior to sewing. Then she focuses on paying attention when sub-cutting the cylinder into the strips. Finally, she looks at unpicking, you might like to shorten your sewing stitch length, so that the strips don't undo by themselves.
Karins' book - Jelly Roll Bargello Quilts - is available on our website.
