In this lovely interview, we get to learn how Vendulka and her husband Olivier worked together to create this amazing piece of work.
This beautiful quilt was made by them both.  They entered it into the Two Person quilt category. And they also won!
The mandala design was drawn by Olivier, including all the individual feathers.  Vendulka, in her own words, just did the quilting! She worked from the back.  Once that was done, Olivier came back to the quilt and used Marabu paints to colour in the sections.
The quilt, entitled “Our Ladies”, was made as part of a travelling exhibition of 12 quilts. The designs were inspired by the wonderful women Vendulka has been privileged to meet during her quilting and textile journey .
