Facebook Live with Faye and the Royal School of Needlework
Embroidery • Educational, G, 01-Sep-2017
A joyful wander through the aisles of the West Country Quilt and Textile Show in 2016 has Faye ending up on the stand of the Royal School of Needlework and being persuaded to try her hand at creating a French Knot under the expert tutilage of Kelly Aldrige.
Kelley is passionate about embroidery and continues to try to break down the barriers of the ‘fuddy duddy’ image that embroidery, particularly that taught the proper way by the Royal School, currently seems to have. Take a look at the embroidered kitchen sieves if you don’t believe her!
The Royal School of Needlework is based at Hampton Court Palace, just west of London. For more information you can go to Royal Needlework website.
