A useful tutorial
A really useful little tutorial from the queen of embellishers - Myfanwy Hart - textile artist and dyer. She has worked closely with Janome and their embellishing machine.
About Myfanwy Hart
Myfanwy studied City & Guilds Creative Embroidery at Woking with Marion Brookes, then followed the course at Windsor with Jan Beaney and Jean Littlejohn. Regular masterclasses with the late Vicky Lugg and Constance Howard followed.
Moreover, Myfanwy now runs workshops in Hampshire and all around the country. Seriously involved in textiles for over 20 years she has been dyeing for almost that length of time and this has evolved into a range of gorgeous hand dyed threads.
Her textile art supplies business https://www.myfanwyhart.co.uk/shop-2– is a source of unusual dispersible fabrics, threads and embellishments.
Myfanwy is also the author of “The Embellisher: let’s get started”. In her own work, she uses dyed and decorated papers, hand threads, yarns, fabrics and fibres.
