Embroidery • Educational, G, 01-Dec-2016
Christine Porter is an internationally know quilt author, teacher and quilt judge. SHe was joined on our stand by her quilting colleague Angel Yuan Yuan from China.
We get to learn how Angel is promoting the hand embroidery of a variety of minority tribes so that they in turn earn money and can help provide themselves with an income. The exquisite embroidery work takes a long time to produce.
Angel hopes that she can encourage others to visit her homeland and the province of Guizhou and enjoy seeing the work being made first hand.
