TASTER: Paper Weaving and Transfer Painting with Mary Gamester
FREE Tasters (Textile Art) • Educational, G, 24-Jul-2020
In this workshop, Mary shows us how to pre-paint papers with transfer paints. You will discover just how exciting and unpredictable the end result is.
The procedure is very straightforward. Mary gives you helpful tips on how to avoid some disasters and also on how to turn those disasters into embellishment opportunities! Nothing here is wasted as Mary also likes to recycle her papers.
You do need to use poly cotton, not always something a quilter has in her cupboard. You will also need a hot iron, which needs protection, so baking parchment plays a big part too.
You can find out more about Mary when you visit her website.
