FREE Tasters (Textile Art) • Educational, G, 10-Apr-2020
Karen’s ‘Singerie’ exhibition was held at the Rebecca Hossack Art Gallery, London in October 2013.
In this interview Karen talks us through her inspiration for the various monkeys. We also get to enjoy work that includes the use of sequin film, pyrography, torn fabric strips, sequined fabric and printed tattoo’s. One particular monkey was inspired by Karen’s trip to the Bosphorus.
You can learn more about Karen on our interview with her.
She is also the author of a lovely book entitled ‘Embellished – new vintage’. You can find this on her own website: www.karennicol.com.
