TASTER: Heart Applique Stitching with Valerie Nesbitt
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-May-2014
In this video workshop Valerie talks you through the satinstitch method of applique for this traditional shape. It is assumed that this is fused applique but if you have no fusing medium, which will help with the fraying, tacked into place will work just as well. Again this method assumes raw edge.
Valerie talks about how to start by pulling the bobbin thread up through your work and if you aren’t sure how to do this, you can click here.
You might like to investigate do you have the locking stitch on the machine, but bear in mind that this leaves a little knot on the back of your work which you might not like and you need to remember don’t cut threads off!
