TASTER: Makower Christmas Tree Wall Hanging with Valerie Nesbitt

The pattern was originally designed to go with the 2019 Makower fabric Christmas ranges. These vary from modern, through scandi, to traditional. Or you could just raid your stash and it will be just as lovely.
Valerie guides you through some of the simple steps of cutting. She suggests that once you have decided on the order of the fabrics in the project that you are very systematic on the cutting. The same applies when cutting out the backgrounds. The seam allowance is suggested at 1/4" but whatever you use, as long as you are consistent, it will work fine.
Once the pieces have been sewn into strips, the pattern suggests they are cut into wedges. This will give a very interesting look, but again is not essential. If you do want to follow the Lynne Goldsworthy's suggestion, then Valerie guides you through how to do this, keeping the fabric from slipping and yourself safe when using the rotary cutter.
Don't forget that when adding borders, to measure your project - as this measurement is unique to you!
