TASTER: Silent Christmas from Stof
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Sep-2016
Entitled Silent Christmas this range is more about winter, so would make a lovely additional to any home during the winter months. This small lap quilt will definitely be one you will want to own and snuggle under.
Quick and easy to make, using the feature fabrics to its best advantage, and don’t worry, if you usually work in metric, you can easily adjust this to suit.
Valerie made a cushion with some of the left-overs!
Fabric range and quantities used:
Feature fabric: 4496-301 – need 3 repeats, but there are other options in the range which have a shorter repeat that could be used, so maybe 1.25cm
Blue Stars – 4496-707 = 30cm for 4 patches and border cornerstones
Grey Dot – 4496-304 = 15cm for 4 patches
Plus 75cm for border
Grey Trees – 4496-904 = 15cm
Blue Trees – 4496-706 = 30cm
Pink sashing – 2758-024 = 25cm *
Plain grey fabric – 2758-019 = 10cm*
Although these fabrics are extra wide, the quantities will work if your fabric is only the more traditional 112cm(42”) wide. You will find some of patterns in Creative Quilting.
