TASTER: Structures Exhibition with Kate Findlay - Part 3
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Apr-2016
In this final part of the exhibition that was filmed in the Old Fire Station Galley at Henley on Thames we learn that other members of Kate’s family are also very creative – this time her Uncle and she has made a ceramic chainmail style vest that can indeed be worn.
We also get to enjoy more the excellent textile pieces on show and the excellent use the group members make of creating texture through simple stitches, and one piece in the exhibition uses really small squares to exquisite effect and gets itself what has to be the longest name ever as it’s title. It has also inspired Valerie to look again at the pieces she would normally throw away.
