TASTER: Visit to Cae Hir Gardens, West Wales
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Jan-2014
This outdoor quilt exhibition was set in the beautiful RHS Partner Garden of Cae Hir, in West Wales. The 2013 exhibition was given the theme ‘The Netherlands’ to celebrate 30 years since the Akkermans family moved from Holland and settled in the small village of Cribyn in West Wales.
The house and land was bought with the sole intention of creating a garden for the public to enjoy.
The 2013 exhibition was very wet on the day we were filming it! But we hope you still enjoy wandering round the garden with Karen Cocksedge as our hostess, and meeting some of the authors of the 21 quilts and Julie Akkermans, the owner of the garden.
We also visited the traders tent.
