Rosee shows you very clearly how to decrease in the centre of your row of knitting by knitting 3 stitches together.
It is quite straightforward: you slip two stitches knitwise – knit one stitch and then pass the slipped stitches over.

Another decrease that you work from the wrong side of knitting, but which produces a really nice, neat firm edge.
This is left leaning, so could be used in conjunction with a right leaning decrease (Pearl 2 tog)
