Meet Daphne Morris - a Passionate Knitter
Interviews with Knitting Artists • Educational, G, 04-Jun-2021
Valerie has known Daphne Morris for over 30 years through Creative Quilting. She has only recently discovered Daphne's passion for knitting which she has been doing since the age of 4.
Daphne shows Valerie a snapshot of her works over the last 60 years. This includes the oldest piece she owns which is now enjoying a fashion revival; there is a blue and white sweater knitted in Paris which has Breton inspiration; learn about the sweater that has three arms; you also get to see some wonderful pieces using Anny Blatt yarn and there is an all-in-one Kaffe Fassett jacket that has its own unique pottery buttons but that needed tricky adjustment!
You'll see every piece has a tale to tell.
Daphne also shows us some of the upcoming workshops she has for us.
