Hearty Good Wishes with Janet Clare
Interviews with Quilting Artists • Educational, G, 01-Apr-2014
Meet Janet Clare and her lovely new range of fabrics, that have been printed and are being distributed by Moda.
The colours in the fabrics are muted blues and greys which remind Janet of the English coast in winter – memories of her childhood in Kent.
The fabrics are available as yardage and as pre-cuts, jelly rolls and layer cakes. Also there is a free pattern that you can download at Moda.com where you can also view the range of fabrics.
For supplies ask your local quilt shop or for stockists in the UK.
Hearty Good Wishes Book
Janet’s book is inspired by the English coast in winter to the waves, the spray, the wild salty air and the rosy cheeks.
The chapters in the book have titles that have been inspired by the various states of the waves from calm to white caps, and the projects range from quilts to hot water bottle covers.
The book is available through us on our website.
If you are inspired by The Shipping Forecast (and there is a pattern in her book) you should enjoy the wonderful video we made of the work by Delia Salter.
