Christine, a qualified nurse and teacher from the UK, has been teaching quilting for over 22 years.
She is internationally known as a quilting teacher and lecturer, as well as being a popular quilt judge at many quilting events around the world. She has shared her quilting knowledge with audiences in Great Britain, Ireland, France, Spain, Norway, Dubai, Kuwait, the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Christine teaches regularly on cruises for ‘Group Seminars at Sea’ and also in Burgundy, France for ‘The Really Big Dream Company’.
In 1991, Christine founded Cabot Quilting Conferences, bringing top American quilt teachers over to the UK to teach British Quilters for residential weekends. She also runs retreat weekends three times a year and has been featured on the internet ‘The Quilt Show’ with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.
She was the British co-ordinator of the American World Quilt & Textile Show and the British Cabot Quilters Challenge.
Christine sews exclusively on Husqvarna Viking sewing machines and is happy to sing their praises.
Formerly Co-editor of “British Patchwork & Quilting” magazine for over four years, Christine is a freelance writer for several magazines including ‘Patchwork & Quilting’ and ‘Fabrications’ in the UK and ‘The Quilt Life’ in the USA. Her quilts are mostly inspired by mediaeval and Victorian tile designs.
In May 2010 Christine was presented with the prestigious Amy Emms Award for Services to British Quilting and has won awards for her quilts in Britain and the USA.
