Christine teaches regularly on cruises for ‘Group Seminars at Sea’ and also in Burgundy, France for ‘The Really Big Dream Company’.
In 1991, Christine founded Cabot Quilting Conferences, bringing top American quilt teachers over to the UK to teach British Quilters for residential weekends. She also runs retreat weekends three times a year and has been featured on the internet ‘The Quilt Show’ with Alex Anderson and Ricky Tims.
She was the British co-ordinator of the American World Quilt & Textile Show and the British Cabot Quilters Challenge.
Christine sews exclusively on Husqvarna Viking sewing machines and is happy to sing their praises.
Formerly Co-editor of “British Patchwork & Quilting” magazine for over four years, Christine is a freelance writer for several magazines including ‘Patchwork & Quilting’ and ‘Fabrications’ in the UK and ‘The Quilt Life’ in the USA. Her quilts are mostly inspired by mediaeval and Victorian tile designs.
In May 2010 Christine was presented with the prestigious Amy Emms Award for Services to British Quilting and has won awards for her quilts in Britain and the USA.
Her latest book ‘Sensational Circle Quilts’ is an e-book which is also in CD format, and includes the quilts that you are seeing in the background on this interview. You can find it in our website.
We persuaded her while in the studio to provide us with a couple of workshops, so keep watching!
