Meet Janet Harker - Textile Artist
Interviews with Textile Art Artists • Educational, G, 01-Oct-2017
Janet shares with Valerie a little bit of her textile and patchwork history. We documented this with pictures of the quilts and projects she has made over the years, starting back in 1979.
Janet initially was inspired by log cabin and applique and combined these in a series of quilts and projects. Also, she used patchwork effectively as a background for her applique work too.
Photographs bely the scale of her work, some of which is over 6ft high. In addition, her textile work now grace walls all over the country.
You can see more of Janet's work in the video of the Threads exhibition which you can enjoy by clicking here.
Janet is available for commission work, and she can be contacted at [email protected].
