Meet Mary Gamester at the West Country Quilt & Textile Show 2016
Interviews with Textile Art Artists • Educational, G, 30-Aug-2019
This interview was filmed in 2016 on our stand at the West Country Quilt and Textile Show held at Bristol.
Mary loves to transfer paint. With her artistic background she has found this is the medium that appeals to her creative nature. She shares this love through teaching and workshops.
Mary also has a new toy which is a hot press machine. She says this takes the stress and strain out of ironing her work.
Her book and paints are available in our website. You can also enjoy some of Mary’s workshops on the site by using the quick link Mary Gamester.
The crazy demo, that Fay refers to at the end of the interview, is also a workshop on the site called Crazy Quilt with Valerie Nesbitt. It is a great quick weekend quilt, using 5 or 6 Fat 1/4’s with no waste.
