Bed of Roses Quilt with Valerie Nesbitt
Jelly Rolls and Precuts • Educational, G, 18-Sep-2020
This is another easy stack and cut and sew quilt, perfect for 10" layer cakes or cut from your stash. Valerie guides you through the simple cutting and then sewing, which works no matter what your seam allowance. This makes it particularly good for beginners.
The quilt will look good in any colours, so think about bright modern batiks. Fat 1/8ths from Oakshott, as they are already cut 10" deep, as well as bundles particularly the Liberty ranges since all the fabrics go together so well.
Valerie does talk about slicing your deck at 2". This is slightly smaller than the pattern suggested by Edyta Sitar, but either measure will work.
Valerie also reminds you of her neat trick for quickly shuffling your pack for sewing.
