Modern Quarter Log Cabin Patchwork with Valerie Nesbitt
Jelly Rolls and Precuts • Educational, G, 17-Jul-2020
In this workshop Valerie adds simple sashing strips to the log cabin style construction of this block. This gives it a very modern look and the on-point setting gives it additional appeal.
In this log cabin block, what would traditionally be the centre of the block is now at one corner. The construction is therefore along just two sides of the square only.
The sashing is also applied to only two sides of the square. Valerie has some helpful guidance on how to create narrow but straight sashing that is only 1/2" wide.
Made from pre-cuts, this becomes a really easy quilt to make.
