Angela has designed this ‘workshop in a bag’ template. It means you can produce wonderful feather quilting designs onto your projects easily. This one tool will give you a wide variety of designs. Here, Angela shows how versatile this design tool can be from hearts, to squares and rectangles and more.
She talks us through how she transfers her design ready for quilting, so that you don’t have to mark your quilt at all. Angela uses greaseproof paper, but an alternative sold by quilt shops is Quilt-N-Tear tears off a little easier.
She also has a great tip on how to avoid double stitching, by stopping and jumping. At the end Angela suggests you to try using some bling, paints and use some of the decorative stitches on your machine to add easy texture.
If you find yourself looking at and liking the quilts in the background, they are from Angela’s latest patterns, Silhouettes. You can watch Angela talk about them in this workshop.
Angela will also be joining us on 15-16 October 2022 at one of our Weekend retreat, where she will teach another of her tools ‘Slice up a circle’ ruler. If you’d like more details go to our website.
