Videos were available from 2nd December. On Friday, December 2nd, we had an accessible introduction to a New Year Mystery. Sylvia Critcher told Val about our mystery quilt project coming up in January. Also, about what you will need to complete this mysterious quilt once the Christmas dust has settled. We also returned to the Dorking Fluffatorium. At this time, Gillian Harris, the founder, and owner carried on with her fabulous felting workshops. Also, she told us how to create brilliant holly leaves and berries – just in time for you know what?
Then a week later, on Friday, December 9th, Jennie Rayment was back in the studio with a super workshop entitled Hunter Star. Jennie explained it in a way that all of us could follow and reproduce in the comfort of our sewing room. Also, on December 9th, we visited The West Country Quilt Show, where we had a lovely big stand in November. We were lucky to meet our old friend Angela Daymond at the show. She came to our philosophy to be interviewed about her unique techniques for natural fabric dyeing and, of course, her Kantha work.
