Rosebud Fayre - Block of the Month
Rosebud Fayre Quilt Series with Jennie Rayment and Valerie Nesbitt • Educational, G, 01-Sep-2011
Jennie & Valerie guide you through making this lovely quilt in instalments. It is a perfect project for beginners, but there will also be some challenges for those more accomplished sewers.
The Rosebud Fayre Medallion quilt is made with a mixture of Rosebud Fayre fabrics designed by Gail Kessler for Andover Fabrics (those fabrics starting with a 5) and Itsy Bits Fabrics from Makower (those fabrics starting with a 4).
Fabrics used:
Background 5490L 2.75m
Feature fabrics 5485L & 5483L 0.75cm
Pale pink 4264E 0.75cm
Mid pink 5490E 0.75cm
Deep pink 4265R 0.75cm
2nd deep pink 5486R 0.75cm
Pale sludge green 4263L 0.75cm
Mid sludge green 4064NZ 0.75cm
Deep sludge green 5489V 0.75cm
2nd deep sludge green 4933C 0.75cm
Binding – could be scraps 0.50cm
When making the quilt you have an option to make this rectangular with a different border option. The above fabrics will allow for that.
The requirements allow for choice rather than being specific and the two feature fabrics have been counted as a single entity in terms of quantity.
The Rosebud Fayre fabrics may be hard to find now, but the Itsy Bits range is still ongoing and can be purchased through most good quilt shops. When in doubt try www.creativequilting.co.uk.
