TASTER: Block 2 of Your First Sampler Quilt with Valerie Nesbitt
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Oct-2018
The second block in our series.
In our second block of the series you will learn:
how to rotary cut strips;
how to cut squares quickly, accurately and safely;
that a rotary cutter is a brilliant tool but sharp so it needs to be treated with respect.
We also cover strip piecing to make the alternative 4-patch segments and the sewing of the 4-patches together accurately.
There are two design options. However, you could vary it yet again and have a plain square in the centre. There are so many options!
Additionally, if you are thinking of making the standard 9-patch into a quilt by repeating the blocks you should consider watching the strip-piecing tutorial.
