TASTER: Cosy Cottages Row of Jennie`s Stripy Stripey Story Quilt
FREE Tasters (Quilting) • Educational, G, 01-Jul-2016
There are three of these to make and Jennie talks you through your options. She gives suggestions on how you might like to customize yours’ by adding curtains, roses and other stuff.
She loves to use the Companion Angle rotary cutting template for a couple of reasons – mainly because it saves you fabric! But also because it is a really clever way of cutting half square triangle units separately. It also gives you accurate piecing.
However, you can make the cottage roofs without this – you just need a bigger piece of fabric (i.e. a square) rather than using the strip of fabric that Jennie does.
The same can be said of the Easy Angle for the roof, but again this isn’t completely essential, and Jennie gives you a great tip on how to use stripey fabric to get the stripes right!
